If you are selling a product/service and using this site/forum as your medium of offering this product/service you need to be a sponsor. You are making a general offering of your product/service to anyone who subscribes to this site/forum and not a private sale (hence advertising) on a site which charges for this benefit.

If this is a single unit sale such as a item you have one of or are taking off your vehicle place your ad in the classifieds section...a link from this forum to the classifieds would be acceptable.
