overdrive strengh

i was wonder if its alright to leave it floored when it shifts in overdrive from 3rd gear......plus when it shifted from 3rd at wot to overdrive it went to 4grand (rpms) seems kinda high for being in overdrive?

I've sprayed a few times from 3rd to 4th , but I usually let out soon after.
