does anyone have the graph of a ls6 cam on an otherwise stock 5.3L?
I just got an 05 silverado and I am looking for a little more power if possible. I use the thing to tow maybe twice a month and just drive it around on the street. I am not going to be taking it to the drag strip.
I dont want to mess with the exhaust because I dont want to make it any louder. I like how quiet and peaceful it is compared to my other car.
I was thinking of doing an air intake, a ls6 cam/springs, and a hypertech type programmer. how much faster should that make the car say from a 20-100 punch just hypothetically? and also towing power?

There are better cams for what you are looking for. I was kind of dissapointed in my 02' LS6 cam and I already had all the supporting mods and a 3000stall. Personally I'd just spend the extra money and get a custom cam like one of the 212/218 cams or a regular TR220-TR224 and custom tuning. The Hypertech is a waste also, it wont do jack for your new cam.

I put an 01 LS6 cam in my 99 truck. Peak gains were just over 30 rwhp and xx rwtq. Sub-2000 rpms were a bit softer. Idle was perfect and no tuning was needed, although I had a hypertech to raise shift points.
Typically, the stealth type cams are made for cars with larger engines and lighter weight. In a truck, they will still need some tuning and are a little large.
If you aren't buying the LS6 cam for the price, you can order a custom cam that will give you more power over the complete powerband and still not need a custom tune.

Hey, thats my dyno ^^^^
1999 Z71 5.3 same day, before and after the 01 LS6 cam install. Mods were a hypertech and flowmaster muffler.
bullhead, I wasn't referring to any particular model number or brand. More of just a blanket statement. But if I wanted one, I'd call comp cams and order a cam with 3707/3708 lobes on a 115 lsa.
