I got the servos and shift kit installed for ~$350...with screen, fluid, etc. I also got an aluminum 1-2 piston instead of that plastic piece of crap GM put in there.

i'll still end up getting the transgo, just right now it isn't high on my list, due to me being happy with just the vette servo.

My trans place. Some car companies use PLASTIC valves and servos in a transmission to reduce costs...well plastic (to a point) is going to be weaker in my opinion. It is a little piece in the 1-2 accumulator of the valve body that puts pressure on the 1-2 spring and if applicable washers.

Plastic can crack, metal can also but less likely than metal. I got that part for free, it'd probably cost no more than $10 for the stealer..er..dealer.

My AOD (trans) in my F-150 had TWO plastic accumulators in it when I tore it down! I went with aluminum ones and never looked back.

I hope that makes sense...
