Default Opinions. LQ9/MS3 in a RCSB

I picked up an new MS3 112lsa for cheap. I'll be using it in my 03 Sierra RCSB. I'll also have ported 241s w/bigger valves(not sure what size), keeping the truck intake (for now), backed by a 3200 stall and I believe stock 3.42s. I've tried searching but have not found much people that have done this setup, so theres not much discussion on it. I have this cam on an 113lsa in my M6 camaro and daily drove either car on any given day. I dont expect it to perform like my fbody and am aware of the weight difference/issues with our trucks.

Honestly, I think it would be cool to say both vehicles have the same cam. I dont expect to be at the track much, but will def have to test it out some. I do enjoy a very lopey cam though and high rpm.

What are your thoughts of this setup? How do you think it will perform?

Hopefully nothing else after this. I just wanna truck that I enjoy to drive, weather it be to work and back or to the grocery store, and still have fun at the track and on the freeway.

Not sure if that answered your question.

is that the stock truck intake? not an expert by any means but i think that intake is gonna be a restriction and that a cam of that size is gonna need more stall speed/gear

IMO, I would atleast put some steeper gears in depending on your wheel/tire combo. That cam does seem a little big for a otherwise stock LQ9, but you can make it work.

Yeah, it'll be the stock truck intake for now. Not trying to change my gears, but maybe willing to go up to a 3600 stall.

A 3600+ small diameter converter would be a very wise decision to run with a cam of that size. With the appropriate supporting mods, a MS3 should perform excellent in a 6.0.
