That is correct. This is a very mild build. Maybe just a tad over stock.

Thanks for the help. Please keep the suggestions coming if anyone else has something to say.

Im very happy with my Isky cams spec'd by Jarrod (Stock48). My mud truck 4.8 uses his 212/216, my turbo trucks 5.3 uses the triple 12, and my 370 twin turbo Vette runs his 219/222

You should probably consider a custom cam. It's a very odd set of desires you have for your build. I also agree that you should be spinning it to 6k on a full wot run. That doesn't mean you need to see anything more than 5k on a regular basis, but having the best part of the power band is a good idea. Anyways sticking with factory cathedral heads and wanting power early I would suggest something like a 215/223 low lift LSA 113+2
It will have a broad early power band.

Its not the normal you build you see here. It is just a small step up from a stock rebuild. No track time, drag strip. The truck is alot of fun on twisty roads though. Handles very well. The truck is a daily driver. Thanks for your recommend. That is about what Im seeing. Seems like alot of the recommends are around that and just a touch larger. Not looking for much. If I was to get 375 horsepower at the flywheel on 87 octane that would fit the bill.
