Default ok i need some help guys ( LSXr ls3 intake ) decission time

just found out that the ls3 intake is out, couple of shops are gonna do some dyno testing sometime this upcoming week, i was refunded last month cause i couldnt waite any longer for mine to come in, plus i wanted a 4 link and fuel cell, but now that the intake is out, wonder if i should go ahead and buy it, with the 102 big mouth, or hold off and go with the 4 link and fuel cell..anyone wanna help me out on this decission, feel free to chime in

Another member just ran 10.7's on his stock l92 truck intake thru a 78mm tb.Get your stocker ported by the right person and save yourself some money and make better power....

You have a truck l92 intake with the stock 90mm tb correct?Unless you are using the cathedral port intake on your rectangular port heads?

And if you mean the truck l92 intake isnt stock meaning its ported, get it ported by a GOOD porter before you invest in a truck l92 FAST.I saw somone selling a Futral ported intake and the porting looked like dog ****,they also made round the same power you are or more....

And whos stage 2 l92's are those? When I bought mine,I found that TEA had the best flow # by far.I just upgraded to the ls3 valves as the stock truck valves are supposedly really nice and tough from the people I talked to,and I think the ls3's are the hollow stem making them a slight upgrade.Even TEA,which would want to make $$$'s off me by selling upgrades, said the stock truck valves are a great piece and will handle whatever you can throw at em...

Wasn't that 10.7 on a truck engine in a car? (malibu wagon?)

Still awesome numbers don't get me wrong, but with the extra weight of a truck I'd think that would be more like low 11's...

ok after alot of searching and seeing some dyno graphs it seems like the 4 link and fuel cell will benefit me better. for one would be the weight reduction

my goal is to stay consistant in the 11's low or high which high would be more a constant effort!!

You have a very stout set up, and you've got the 11's now, I'd think with a consistent launch and the weight reduction you'd be able to shave off another tenth or two and keep yourself there...
