ok i am going with this high mileage 6.0 for my swap
#1
this 2001 silverado 6.0 has aluminum heads, so all i need to do to swap it in my 2000 sierra with a 4.8 is basicly, just swap it right? EVERYTHING is interchangeable right? im gona use my old tranny, it works great, but all wiring and accessorries work with eachother right? also what can i do make this 6.0 last longer? i just want more torque to pull my boat, and i dont drive it hard or anything

what year truck do you have?
just about all parts are interchangeable between the 2 motors. just unhook everything from the old motor and zip-tie it or set it to the side and pull that LR4 out. your harness, coil packs and all that will work with the 6L. i had to re-use the 4.8 intake mani so brakes would work (brake booster nipple on back of manifold). also you will need to re-use your 4.8 flywheel on the 6.0 so the tranny (4l60E) will mate up correctly. if any more questions just search, or post it up.
