Default Oil problem

I have a 2000 tahoe 5.3. I have owned since 130,000 miles. now has 152,000 on all city driving. I keep the oil changed in it every 3000 miles. Well we took it on a trip for the first time to smokey mountains. Well after we get there it is fine all day. Well the next morning go to start it, it took about 10 seconds to build oil pressure and makes all kinds of lifter noise till it builds up. I got ready to shut it off. Well every morning since then it has been doing this. I just changed the oil in it about 800 miles ago. So monday I thought maybe the oil filter came apart so I took it off put a new one one and it does fine last night and this morning. Well just awhile ago it is doing it again. So I go out and look at the old oil filter and inside of it it is all gummed up. I guess the folks before me didnt keep the oil changed in it and the long trip we made in it losened some of the grime up and now is clogging the engine up. How can I get it to stop doing this? I was thinking of getting some cheap oil and changing it several times in a week. Any help would be great. Also I always run mobile one oil and ac delco oil filters.

Pour half a can of Sea Foam in the crankcase; or a pint of Kerosene. Then drive it hard for 15-20 miles with it at operating temperature; after that come back and change the oil. If there are any deposits or stuff gummed up in there that should take care of it.

I would use the seafoam as suggested here and remember to change the oil when she is HOT. I would even "chase" it with a quart while it was draining.
