Default Oil pressure? O ring?

My oil pressure seems to be lower than it used to be. It's about 35 at idle and a like 55 at WOT. I think it used to go higher than that.

I had to remove the oil pickup tube last weekend. I don't remember seeing an O ring though. It was just a big rubber seal. This is a 2003. Did they do away with the O ring for the bigger rubber seal? Does my pressure sound ok?

I will probably replace the seal on my next day off because I broke an oil pan bolt anyway :bang but I want to see if it's safe to drive for now. Thanks, and yes I did a search.

idk about a big rubber thing but theyre shoulda been an o ring.if you replace it get the red oring its better.mine sits at 35-40 at idle and its a 06 6.0.but i do shoot up to 80 at wot. it wouldnt hurt if u have the pan off.

Hey, thanks for the part #. I replaced my O ring this morning and now my pressure is back to normal. I replaced the other rod bolts as well while I was in there.

My old O ring was so deformed. It was more square than round. It didn't even look like an O ring.

Any guys who run into this on a search, replace the O ring every time if possible!! If it shows any signs of deformation, it won't seal as tight as it should. It's only like 7 bucks. You don't want to have to tear into it again if your pressure is lower than before.
