oil pressure

Default oil pressure

ok i did a swap and hooked a manuel guage on the side of the oil pan were the filter is or the oil cooler lines go should i be geting a reading there when i start it it goes to about 20 and at ideal its on 0 do i need to find another spot for my guage

Are you adding an extra gauge or what? The factory oil pressure sensor goes on the rear of the motor right behind the intake manifold. What swap are you referring to?

yes an extra guage is added i put a 6.0 in my 70 elcamino

make sure that whatever you have bolted right there still allows the oil to flow between the two holes.

So, you have this actually in the pressure port adapter (above the oil filter)?

Picture of the installation? (pic says a thousand words!)

At what RPM are you reading 0psi?

Are you positive all gauge connections are correctly hooked up?
