You should be fine, i've done that before along time ago.. I left my truck running only to find it killed with steam coming from under the hood with the temp gauge pegged out.

When I first noticed i thought it was on fire until I saw the "smoke" dissipating into the air then i realized it was steam... I had the fire extinguisher ready!

Thats right, it got so hot it died on its on... I thought for sure i was F&*^%D but I let it cool and fired her back up.. It ran some 11 second passes after the fact so im sure it didnt harm a thing. Scary feeling though!

When mine has gotten hot, I've always tried to fine the nearest long stretch of road, run it up to speed, and let it idle/coast.... I know you couldn't exactly do that.... But killing it with it that hot let's it just sit there and bake... Not good, but I agree with everyone else, I think you'll be ok.

I'm just paranoid because I've warped heads and intake manifolds like that.

Yea, its possible.. Test the harness. Tap into the PCM trigger wire and run it to ground. If it does not work it could be a relay issue.

If there is a problem let me know and ill send you some relays ASAP.
