Toulene and Xylene also are great octane boosters. If you don't know what it is, it's paint thinner. Not to be used if you have 02s and cats. Toulene is around 110 Octane if I remember correctly and Xylene 117 octane. The higher the octane the slower it burns.

bigblock i think you are right with the octane for both toulene and xylene.....i had a buddy that ran both those in his mark III supra and you can tell the diffenence but his car is turbo....also if you run eighter of those you have to mix ATF (auto tran fluid ) in with it cause see-n as its paint thinner it will eat all the oil off the cylinder walls....if you want to try it you could...there is a thread on supra fourms on the exact mixture to get what octane fuel you want....

I'm not sure about the ATF. You'd treat T/Xylene Same as Methanol, just run a gallon of regular unleaded gas after you're done and your fine. I remember Parish ran a lot of Xylene in his engine. You can just google for that formula.

ditto that.. its all in your tune. I do know the boosters suk cause they will end up fouling the plugs and if you run 93 the booster only makes it like 93.1 lol

if you go any route, just get the unleaded 100-104 octane for the track.. but its like 4-5bucks a gallon atleast

Actually most tests have proven that octane boosters such as STP and such will actually lower your octane.

I ran that 100 octane Sunoco Turbo 98, which is rated a minimum of 98 octane but really closer to 100. I used it because I was spraying 100 Dry shot with the 93 octane Hypertech tune still installed, and didn't want to chance detonation. Even off the bottle, it ran good on that gas. I used to get it on RT. 40 by the Double T Diner, but the station has now closed. Where do you get it in Columbia?
