I bought the OBX because they are stainless. I also wanted the fake cats, so I can pass a visual emissions inspection.

I almost bought them.... But installing those things is turning out to be like trying to pound a square peg in a round hole with a sledge........

I know all trucks are different but both headers went in from the bottom if i remember right and they were easier than the pacesetters. Getting the flanges lined up was kind of a pain. Then i had to find some plugs for the 02 bungs. But all aftermarket stuff is a little off so the problems we had were expected.

Like I said, ill pass. Im not caving in a primary even a little bit cuz its laying on my frame. Or mauling one to clear the front d-shaft.

He doesn't have any OBX's to sell. He said he "almost bought some" but after hearing some of the issues with making them fit he didn't. I think he has some nice looking Thorley's that he needs to get installed.

For a large CI engine I wouldnt buy any of the headers made right now, I would look at something custom with larger primaries and collectors. My OBX's have 1 3/4 primaries.

i believe I read somewhere that a set of kooks 1-7/8 f-body headers will work fine you just have to fab up a y-pipe

Yes. Guy that goes by QUIK did that with some stepped Kooks. I guess the pass side header collector kicks out to the right a bit. So all in all a new Y is all that would be needed.
