Take your pick of 2 plug wires to yank off........ Then run open headers. Maybe that will do the trick.

If you are wondering what that is, it's actually his ecu dumping fuel whenever he shifts, that's what makes that backfiring noise. It's done that way because so much air is being forcedin there and when the spark is ignited, there's just the righta ir fuel mixture right above the piston, giving almost instant power. VERY little turbo lag when done properly... there's a video of a turbo sc300/sc400 somewhere online, white, that does it too

yeh that backfiring is pretty common with a turbo and nitrous also will do that.

So if you guys had to choose between the OBX LT's vs. Pacesetter LT's & ORY, what would you pick to be the "better" LT Header? Both are about the same price. Granted "better" is a relative term, but as far as performance and quality, sound, and bang for the buck.

OBX are T-304 SS, but that damn hump annoys me. Pacesetters are Mild steel, but you could always coat them. OBX doesn't list the primaries diameter, but i'd assume 1 3/4 since they took Dynatech's old design.

I guess it would come down to preference. The pacesetters are slip on style, and the OBX have 3 studs like factory right on the header flanges. I didnt really like the hump either nor having to have those socks for the plug wires. The pacesetters are ceramic coated and the obx are stainless. It all comes down to looks and preference.

I'd say if you lived somewhere that was around salt or salt water, i would suggest using the stainless headers for durability. If you don't live near them, it's either or really. Pacesetters make a nice product, and so does OBX. Salt, go stainless. Anywhere else, it's whatever you want.
