I have one more question. SInce the obx are made for 6.0 trucks I will have to do some custom exhaust work to run a single exhaust right? I know most of the 6.0 trucks have the dual in muffler? or is there some certain ones i need to order...all the ones I have seen are for 6.0's and not for 5.3s

type 5.3L obx headers on ebay. The guy who sells it for $499 on ebay is good.

Mine are for 4.8/5.3.Take out the fender wells and its a breeze spec on a lowered truck.

they will be goin on my z71 and i have acess to a couple of lifts if that would help?

It will help a little. Your body style is easy to install on. Just go in from under neath and hold the headers in an angle, should slide right up next to the engine. Since i'm 2wd I'm not sure if the driver side is as clear.
All I had to do on my Driverside is remove the steering arm next to the engine. just enough to move it over a bit.
