I'm thinkin about the TT2600 because of it stock like driving characteristics...Anybody got a good one layibn around?

 

In 2nd gear?? Isn't it supposed to be done in 3rd gear? I don't see how the dyno numbers would be accurate with the tranny helping out with it being in a lower ratio gear. Then again, what do I know.......

3.23 gears at 6000 rpm in 3rd gear..you do the math... in my truck 6000 rpm 3rd gear with 4.10's is 130 mph...

thats also alot of stress on motor specially a mustang loading dyno..some vehicles with smaller motor and tall gears some times cant pull to the peak rpm and have to go to a lower gear

Like I said, I really wouldn't know. I just wanted to know if the dyno numbers that where shown, were accurate? Or would it need to be in third gear to get a true RWHP/ RWTQ reading?

as long as he made the pevious pulls in second gear on the same dyno yes they are accurate readings showing gains...dyno's are just a tuning tool to see gains and tune your vehicle..if your dynoing for numbers your wasting your time worrying about it..its all how it does at the track and on the street..different dynos read different numbers..alot of people get all wrapped up in dyno numbers but if your vehicle has the most timing it can get by with and right the proper A/F for peak power..thats all your going to get..

but just from a word of advise if you want high dyno numbers go to a dynojet..

Filled up the ol' tank tonight. Had quite a bit of cruisin/city drivin, a few races, two of em with nitrous, quite a bit more idle time then usual so I could let the guys I work with hear it. All in all, I drove it quite a bit harder than what I usually do and still managed 21.2mpg...It hasn't been that good since I bought it new...
