Default no tune with headers

I just installed a set of lpp headers and ory and sometimes it won't idle right. Lost a lot of bottom end power and doesn't really pull right till about 2700. I'm gonna get a tune saturday. Is this normal for stock tune

what kind of truck do you drive? On mine I can unhook the battery for about ten minuts to reset the short term memery. That may help your truck learn the new exhaust but a tune will deff bring out the best.

Did you disconnect the battery when you installed the headers? Sometimes if the battery is disconnected or goes dead the idle will have to be re-learned, there may be a procedure around here somewhere. Another common problem with header installs is broken spark plugs...

Ok thanx for the help guys. Its a 02 silverado 5.3. I just disconnected the battery while I put new plug wires on and took it for a drive and it feels like I gained a lot of bottom end response back but I wish the roads were dry cause it won't do nothin but spin. Lol. These new headers sound mean as hell though. Even with the flow master! Can't wait to get a hooker muffler on it

You're gonna throw a code, but it should not cause any harm.
