All three of the exhaust shops I went to told me that Flowmaster systems SUCK! They say they sell a sh%t load of them because of the name and they are loud, but they don't produce much power over the stock setup on most vehicles.

I have a Magnaflow catback, single in dual out, system and love it. The exhaust shop guys told me for the money Magnaflow is at the top as far as power increase. They also mentioned Corsa and Borla. I don't know much about either of those.

Well let me put it this way, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Or a bar graph in this case. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Even at 435cfm times 2, 870cfm is lots for stock motor. The y pipe into a single has way better scavenging than old school duals. 3" is good for roughly 300 hp

I agree. I've pushed over 500 rwhp through a 3" single exhaust in numerous F-bodies...I don't see why it would be any different in a truck...especially since there's so much more room for creative exhaust.
