Well a short block's not gonna be well with those 5.3 heads...compression would be way over 10:1

You gots to have the heads from the 6.0 too.

i have some brand new total seal gapless rings. only opend to look at but hell i cant remember what motor they were for. if you would be interested i could get someone to go in the shop and get the specs.

just get the 6.0, and dont even open it, just slap it in. if you take a little time to find one then can be had for around $1000.
