Default Nitrous upgrade....

Currently im running a 100 dry shot with an off-brand nitrous. I'm wanting up upgrade to an NX kit. I was visiting their site and it seems like they have so many different setups to choose from. They just came out with one for the ls1's that comes with different MAF housings....is that really worth the money? What kinda setup do you guys think i should run....single stage....dual stage...progressive? All i know is that i do want NX. You guys got any advice on the different kits?

i like the single stage 35-150(shark nozle) kit.

the maf setup wont work on the trucks, the fbodys have a diferent style maf sensor. the duel stage or direct port would be a prety cool set up but not on a stock motor and fuel pump.

i have been trying to get someone to give me a good deal on this kit used for a long time, everyone wants near new price. they are crazy. best price i know of for this kit(new) is $479

That kit will not work on a truck because our mass air sensor is different {better} from the one on a Camero. You would have to a lot of mods and computer tuning to make it work.

If you want to see a really trick setup look at the Nozzle system by NOS. Directport that plugs in with your fuelinjectors.

unless you are planning on spraying over 150 (175-200+ range) just go for the single stage kit. as for progressive, i wouldnt run something that expensive unless i was spraying ALOT.

i ran the dual stage for a while and it is cool and sure as hell looks good in the engine bay with all of the solonoids but you will REGRET wiring all that crap. (mine may have been worse with window switch too)

but yeah, the single stage NX kit is a great buy. Tom Byrne runs them with really nice discounts every now and then you may watch out for one of those and see. thats how i picked up mine just keep a look out in the sponsor section for sales on them

NX doesn't allow us to run sales on their products anymore but I do have one 20920 kit that was "beat up" by UPS. The contents are fine but the packaging is damaged. I can let this go for $425. As mentioned the standard kit will work fine for most nitrous use.

u will also need the genx11 kit and remote bottle opener(not needed but they are bad ***). window switch. I would also upgrade to the 15 # bottle. You don't actually need the extras, but if you run on an NHRA or IHRA track your setup has to comply with thier rules. You would have to have blow bown tube etc. The genx kits include them for less money.

N.O.S (Nitrous Oxide Systems) makes a cool kit for the mustang 4.6l. its 1 150shot kit that installs between the injectors and the intake man. to supply it with the N20 and extra fuel. I wonder if it can be retrofit onto the ls1motor.
