Default next mod any thoughts???

been thinking about my next move and haven't been able to make up my mind... I been looking into maybe a sts turbo kit for the 5.3 but wondering will the bottomend hold up on it or maybe stroking it... then again I been thinking about maybe ditching it for a LQ9 or L92 and starting over... I saw the tread on rick's 5.3 and it was real nice... I would like to hit the 500 mark this time or come close... any suggestions????

the bottom will hold up fine....your transmission might complain but I doubt you'd have any issues with the STS turbo system if that's your inclination.

Of course, cubes are king and you can never go wrong with more of them. When I joined this site there were only a few 500hp trucks, now we're a dime/dozen, lol.

yes.
you will want a strong transmission like FLT's level 5 if not a 4L80e. I don't know crap about turbo's, talk to Wilde Racing his STS got him a 11.41 in an ECSB 4x4.

Trick Turbo and Synergy Motorsports make front mount kits. Talk to Rick or Rick.

STS or any turbo kit will get you 500 hp. Are you dead set on turbo? With all your current mods, 500 hp seams pretty easy with a radix. Other wise those long tubes will hurt you with a turbo (front mount would not use them at all). There are a ton of threads debating front mounts vs. rear mounts vs. Radix...
The down side to all of this is the trans, I'd call FLT up and get a 4l60e that is up to the task of 500 hp.

A 4l80e swap is always an option......

yeah but a radix is a lot more expensive than a turbo too...
