Hey all, I'm new here and pretty much new to modding my truck. So my question is I've got an 06' Vortec MAX. It's got dual Flowmaster catback, and it's Diablo tuned. What should be the next step to get some power out of my puppy?

welcome to the forums. If you really want to get performance you might not want to hear that you could do better with other mufflers and custom tuning.
There's a ton of info at the top of each section in the "Sticky's" do yourself a favor and read everything, it will save you further unnecessary expense

Ya the truck came with those mufflers. I heard they are power robbers, I believe they guy before me had the cat back made around the flows. I also bought the Diablo off a friend for only $20 so I really couldn't say no to that. But i'll get on to reading the stikies, thanks...

Agreed. First place to start, get rid of the chambered muffler for a straight thru design, and custom tuning over that handheld programmer. From there you could swap cams and get a higher stall converter.

Alright thanks guys. This truck already has 4.10's. As for exhaust is there any reccomendations for headers and mufflers and even aftermarket cats? I could just bring it to an shop and let them build the piping around that.

If you don't have to worry about emissions I would just get rid of the cats completely and get the the rear o2 codes deleted. For headers I recommend a set of Pacesetters. Check out ebay. Everyone on here seems to talk highly of Magnaflow so I'd go that route. My dad has a Magnaflow on his 4.8 Sierra and it sounds great.

all listed ones are great.. some other choices...
1. swap the g80 out of the rear to a tru trac.. while your the go with a 4.10 gear..
2. get a built transmission for one of our reputable sponsors..
