Default new version 1.3 LS1edit?

I saw in an email I got that there is a newer version of LS1edit out, version 1.3. Is this for all pcms or just specific LS1 cars/trucks from specific years? Does anyone know?

Evil - The software will only open files for whatever year the cable is licensed for. Also, a cable licensed to a '00 Fbody won't open a '00 truck file. Pretty crapy setup but, hey what can ya do.

I'm still in my upgrade window for my truck so I just emailed Ken to see about getting 1.3.

Just a little side note - you can install the different versions in differnt directories on your hard drive. Then you can open a 99 truck with one, and an 02 C5 with another. I have several copies installed that way, including my 03 truck version.

BTW - truck guys, don't put much faith in the version 1.3 "in truck" tuning ability. I've seen it crash 2 SS truck PCMs (including mine) within the week. Apparently, the tuner doesn't like certain options like XM, onstar, etc... When I had the dealership reflash my PCM, the TECH2 asked what radio my truck had and if it had traction control. He said this was the first vehicle he's seen that he's been asked those questions.

Yep, that's how I had to install the Edit software on my hard drive. One in a '01 Fbody folder and the other in a '00 Truck folder. The programming portion works for any vehicle thats licensed on the cable.

Interesting stuff about the '03's Why in the world can't GM leave the engine stuff seperate from that other crap.
