We haven't received the shipment yet and I haven't seen any pictures of the new system. I've also been trying to picture what it looks like now. You can go with the non-ram air and then add the ram air portion later.

I meant to write that the foam (not filter) is made from an industrial grade, fire resistant foam. It was getting kind of late in the day when I posted that

Tbyrne did you ever try cutting into the plastic cover that goes from the grille to the radiator bracket?

I'm interested in this system, but I'd like to keep that plastic peice with maybe a hole cut into it.

I haven't tried cutting it yet. I'll probably see how the templet is that comes with the new systems.

Nothing yet. We were closed for the 3 day weekend so nobody has talked to VaraRam yet.

is it just me or does that picture look like the system keepts the POS stock air ducting to the TB.

The exact thing popped in my head. if it uses the stock air box, im not too impressed.

Well i can see the airbox is changed, but it looks like the ducting from the the airbox to the throttlebody is the same. and on my 8.1 that pipeing doesnt look like it helps flow very much.

VaraRam has found that the stock tube works best with this system.

Chevy High Performance tested this against other inductions. It out did all of the competition
