I just ran my 4.8 RC for the first time.It is all stock and I ran 16.09 at 87mph in the 1/4 mile.Is this a good start ?

My '01 4.8 ran high 15s/low 16s with a few mods. I'd say you're doing pretty well. Welcome aboard!

thats about what mine ran bone stock.
with the right mods, you can get it moving, dont let them fool you about the 4.8L not being able to cut it...LOL
It will surprise alot of people

 

Welcome aboard modding youre truck is addictive its never fast enough. Isn't it great.

 

yes I would say this is a very good start. That is about where I started from with my truck around three months ago.

welcome aboard. thats a good start for a 4.8. My 5.3 ran a 15.3 bone stock at atlanta dragway in february. I ran a 14.7 last friday with my mods below in my sig. i see that you are in sugar hill, i am very close by, i work in sugar hill off of P.I.B.. hope to see you around, what color is your ride?
