Default new track #'s

Well I took the thing to the local track last night and tried out the new combo. This is a new motor as well as having the 4l80e and a new converter so I have no idea what changes made what differences. The best motor pass was like 7.89 and the best nitrous pass was 7.49 at 94.9mph. The 60fts were soft most of the night, but I did end up pulling one 1.68 and a 1.71, 1.73 It just feels way softer out of the hole.

My mph is up by a little over last year so I guess it is making more power, but I was expecting more. It still hasn't been tuned yet, so maybe that will help some. That 4l80 didnt even notice that I was spraying through the shifts!

I am just happy to have it back on the road, now If I can find time to fie tune it.......

Riley- Me and a bud are planning on being there on Thursday the 29th of this month. I hope to get thrown out for being too fast without a roll bar! That is the goal.

Are you you running 4.10s?My 4.56s seemed to help the 4L80s tall first gear a lot.It does get a little noisey on the highway though.

whitt- no i still have the 3.73s! It don't shift out of 1st till almost 60 mph! It definitely needs more gear. It seems to be getting about 10 miles to the gallon already so why not some 4.56's!! Thats the only way my et is ever going to come down to where it should be is with some gears

Blown-6800rpm-I haven't experimented with anything else-that is just where I set it when I put the motor in. Last night was the first time out for this motor, too.

Hey they are trying something kinda new this year at the Memphis track. I think they are gonna do it 4 times. It'll be racing just like at test-n-tune but without the scoreboards. Something for the street racing crew i guess. Dates are: April 23, June 4, July 9, and August 27. Same test and tune prices apply. It sounds like fun so i plan to check it out. I think they are all Friday nights. Gates open at 9pm, running is from 10pm-2am. You could really surprise some folks with your ride. I know that it wouldn't help you tune it, but hey sounds like your runnin' already.
