Default New LH9 GM camshaft going in L20.

As title says, I'll be installing a 6.2L cam in my mighty 4.8. Clearance, maximum springs lift, VVT cam gear all looks good.
question is can I keep my stock 220 000km lifters or I should get all new lifters? Friend of mine told me if I dont get new lifters, I'll ruin my cam..is that right?

Ya won't ruin the cam reusing roller lifters- that was old school flat tappet. But since you'll be in there, get some new lifters..........

Probably should change your title to "L9H" which is a 6.2. The LH9 is a 5.3 used in the last generation of Colorado's and it's actually a VVT equipped non AFM 5.3.

Lh9 is gen 4 like my Sierra is and is also non AFM...from a 6.2l . With .500 lift and small duration Wich holds your low end torque with a decent power gain around 40-60 HP.
fits right in.

umm.. no. L9H is a 6.2 used from 2009 through 2013... LH9 is a 5.3 from a Colorado in like 2012... maybe you should check what you are actually buying lol. 40 to 60 hp with a stock 6.2 truck cam.. this I want to see lol.

Stock "L9H" specs right there which is what I assume you are getting. 198/209, .500/.500 on a 115 LSA.
