Default 2010 Colorado LH9 5.3 Engine?

Does this have the 8/4 cylinder gas saving feature and is it all aluminum? Sure would be nice if it did and the head air bags standard is nice too!

Makes sense that it would continue to be an aluminum block, but all I've seen is that it is flex fuel and nothing about the cyl cut off. I really just want the 6-speed auto in there. I can't stand that 4L60 platform.

Default 4L60E versus 6 speed

the six speeds I have seen, Allison are a major piece and huge going to play heck with the hump if they try to put that in one! I looked up the LH9 on chevy site and they said it ran on regular and had the 8/4 ability since I posted this maybe I'm wrong happened before!

the 6 speed he's talking about is the one used behind the LS3 in the Corvette and L99 in the Camaro.

I read a whole list of differences from the LH8 to the LH9 on media.gm.com and one was a new computer that allows 8/4 to work I have it saved but its not opening for some reason!
