Default New intake on the market.

Found this post on an Avalanche forum about a new intake on the market. What you think?

Sounds like an awsome intake. I wonder how big the tube is.

I wonder how it compares to the ram-air I using on my stock airbox? The idea is sound, pulling air away from the engine. The power increase is kind of hard to figure but I do know that if I take off the 4" ram air hose and put the stock enclosed air box bottom back on my intake, I can definitly feel the difference, it's like night and day. As far as the tube size, it has to be the same diameter at the MAF, the intake uses the OEM rubber hose clamp that connects the MAF to the air box. I may have to look into this more, I can get the discount also, I'm a memeber of the Avalanche site too .

I'd love to see a pic of this intake setup and someone on here get it so we get a non BS report of it.

BTW Y2K...did ya get that SPE Proflash yet? I'd assume that will make your truck run considerably better as it modifies the TqMgt tables too.

I am with Hit Man X on this....I'd like to see someone get this intake to see if those numbers are for real.

Here are some pics of the intake. These pics were taken by a member at the Avalanche site.

28 RWHP from relocating a filter sounds like I would need more proof.

I wonder if I could use the Intake tube from my FIPK, if not, I don't want it. Looks like a nice system but, $300 for basically half of an intake it's pricy.

Looks like a good idea but I think a homemade ram-air with the K&N FIPK would work better. Seems like there would just be more air space and room to get air.

Check out this pic...

Looks way to close to the sides IMO and some parts look like the filter is dented from something....

I think that the homemade ram air with something like

would work best. Anyone have any setups like this?

I'll bet you could incorporate this into our truck intakes
