new to this hole gen III thing
hey guys..i don't actually own a GM truck but after reading a little about them it seems like a good investment. i've been told be a few people that pretty much whatever u can do to an ls1 u can put on the truck motors. is that true? i'd like to get one..i don't really care if its the 4.8 or 5.3L. i just wanna know what websites i can look at for cams...and heads n stuff. and what other kinds of things i might have to look for when doing the cams.

Well you deffinatly came to the right place. Im still new at this too. But everyone here at ls1tech.com are very helpful. And yes, pretty much everything you can do to a LS1 you can do to the trucks. Just add a new thread about what you want to know and you will get all the info you need and all the links youll need. Have fun!!!

well i don't need anything real spectacular ya know. i just figured a nice cam...exhaust n such..in maybe heads. from what i've seen cams are real cheap. so that wouldn't be hard to obtain. exhaust wise i'm have no clue what to pick. anyone have sound clips of exhausts on trucks or any recommendations? also exactly what it takes to get 350-400rwhp on both the 4.8L and 5.3L

Im running a 1 chamber race Flowmaster and TOG headers. I also just reacently added a cut out on my exaust. My truckk is ****** loud. To get 350-400 rwhp, from what I have seen on here you need to alot of mods. Put a thread saying that you want to get 350 to 400 rwhp and you will get hella posts on what you need to do.

You got to watch out. This **** is addicting. I bought my truck back in January and I have between $17 and $20,000 in my truck with everything I have done. But its hella fun fixing these trucks up.
