Default New HD at the track

Had my first runs in the truck started with a 16.1 and beat a supercharged 4runner with a 15.998. I initially went to the track worried if I would be able to break 17s LOL. One thing track people hate about our trucks (FI cars and trucks) is the amount of condensation left on the starting line, atleast thats what the pro cars complain about, screw them, atleast we don't oil down the track every other run JK

Truck definatly needs a cam, I think a 2.29 60' is pretty good but once I get over the 1/8th. mile mark its struggling for hp. And yes the curb weight of my truck is 5400lbs with a 230lbs driver nearly 6,000lbs.

Simply water is just a by product of good combustion and with how OBDII makes the catalyic converter store oxygen we can dump a nice puddle of water on the starting line. The pro cars don't like that, they also don't like us street guys going though their water box cause street tires will bring water onto the starting line too.

I never really noticed this until I was hooking my boat up to the HD. It looked like there was a hose feeding the little hole in the back of the muffler

That's why you go "around" the water box......Every track should have a area open to the side of the water box for vehicles with out Slicks to go through.

But I'm one of those people who hate it when people go through the water box with street tires and bring water onto the track. Drive me nuts when someone does a burnout in the waterbox with street tires, doing a burn out on street tire before running won't help you, only makes it worse. Doing a burnout only does good for Drag Radials, and slicks

Sorry had to vent

I still have the factory tires and my 60' times are consistently better WITH a burnout. I don't think the heat makes much of a difference so much as the fact they are clean after the burn. I have gotten pretty good at after the rear tires start smoking I let off the break enough to move forward and burn the water the front tires carry out.

My only problem is that the G-80 will unlock on me if I get too throttle happy during the burn out.
