so i just got finished fab-ing my intake setup... i didnt like the AEM brute force or K&N FIPK.... and the Volant seemed too expensive... so i bought a strait tube, moded the factory air box and routed more air to the box... i was planning on moving onto the magnaflo then cam... but maybe the magnaflo then headers

Do it! Get a tune also I seen that you are going BB. look around on here for a bit and see if anyone has some for sale. I got mine used from here, you can come across some smokin deals on here sometimes.

I would do headers first if you want to notice something.

well, first i want to notice MPG gains... which i have... my theory was, if i can save money on gas, i will have more to spend on sweet **** for the 'hoe... lol

its probably going to be a couple months before i can afford to do the headers, because i am about to drop the $$$ on the magnaflo here really soon

oh yea, and as for the BB tune, i will be getting a scan cable tune, so it will 100% custom to my truck, which is why i dont want to get a used PCM tune... its worth the $250-$300

Looks like your jumping right in, we have a place that you will feel at home

I know an exhaust shop in east mesa that can hook you up, and if you just need it welded on with a turndown(what i would recommend, maybe routed over the axel though) it wont be very expensive

And yes longtubes will help out alot. have fun and dont get too carried away, just do a little at a time.
