Default new guy with some performance questions

I have had my 04 tahoe since last july, and my girlfriend recently got an 07 denali and now driving my truck is just booorrrriiinnnngggg

so here i am!

I plan on installing a corvette servo (cheap and easy) and i have modified my intake setup... and hopefully will have a magnaflo soon as well... but those are easy!

I want to step it up a notch (but dont want to break the bank) so i think i will start with upgraded cams... however i dont know **** about cams and the more i read, the stupider i get

i want to get more bottom end power without lowering my powerband so much that it wont accelerate on the freeway when i want to pass someone. i am comfortable with installing this thing myself, just not sure which is going to be best for my needs.

also, what are some of you other dudes, and gals, doing to your chevy's to eeek out more power (im not talking about superchargers and drop in motors either)

Check out the "cam guide" link and the "bolt-on" link. Just about everything you need to know before going into the motor swap or FI applications. Good luck!

go with a GT2-3 cam. and go LT (long tube) headers, no cats and a magnaflow.

Im running Pacesetters and have no problems with them. They're not coated. Definitely have flanges welded in when you get them on. I have the 14" magnaflow and love it. Nice and deep and loud without cats

i already have a tune lined up... i will be useing black bear, i have heard nothing but good things about Justin at Black Bear. I will be getting a scan cable tune from him

however, i want to do a few more bolt ons so that i can get the truck tuned more accurate for my application

I do ALL my own work due to cost effective and I love getting dirty... () But I picked up my LTs for something like 320 shipped from a sponsor on here. I dont remember what company I got them thru tho. However I would've gotten a black bear as well. That way if you dont like something about your tune you can buy a cable and do minor adjustments. I just started dipping in to tuning and so far so good for me.
