Default New Guy, Couple ??'s

Hey, y'all. Been lurking and searching, but haven't found exactly what I was looking for. Truck's listed below. Until my warranty expires, I'm sticking to simple bolt-ons.

My question: is there a good electric water pump for a truck that will see towing and such ?? I've seen some claim street-use, but good enough for truck use ??

I'd also like to know what y'all think of my plan...
Have a Volant cai, 180* stat and a Westers 89/93 tune cpu now.
In order, I plan-
e-fans
e-w/pump (if y'all say it's cool)
underdrive pullies (comments ??)
Corsa cat-back

Also, at what point do I need to be worried about the trans crapping out ??

Thanks for any insight.
smokey

with those mods the tranny should hold up pretty well nothing really harsh in what you have now or have planned as far as the underdrive pulleys just depends on who you ask same with the tune and the CAI but they are good bolt ons to start with until you are out of your warranty

I think I would avoid the electric water pump on a street driven truck.Everything else you listed sounds good.

Definitely agree. Not sure what an electric water pump costs, but you may be able to find a set of used headers for the around the same cost. Money better spent IMO.

yup no electric pump, it is a waste of money and no increase in power at all, an underdrive pulley does however help. jes

sounds like a nice truck to mod.

shouldn't have a problem with that tranny.

those should be good bolt-ons (e fans, exhaust, pullies, headers).

Thanks, Z71. I dig it !!

Here's my *before* dyno video. This was with bigger tires, but no tune or intake; it actually was running pretty crappy. Put down 235rwhp and 280lb/ft.

dyno vid @ motorsports technologies

BTW- big video- 64k. Anyone know how to size it down ??

Care to back this up? Everything I've read says that the EWP is worth anywhere from 10-15 hp.

The electric waterpump may be worth 10-15 hp,but he needs to cool the truck in the summer heat of Houston TX.For the price of the waterpump,he could invest in a set longtube headers to gain that 10-15 hp and not overheat in traffic.
