Question New DOD 6.2L

I found out that Cadillac's new Escalade has a new DOD 6.2L!!!!!!!
Has anyone else heard of this engine option for any other future GM trucks???
I'm thinking it will be placed a the newly designed SS Silverado!
What do you guys think?
If I remember correctly, it has somewhere of 360-370hp and & 417 ft lbs tq!
Jim

I think its 407hp, not sure on the exact number but its over 400hp. And it would def be nice if it was in the silverado SS... hopefully available in a regular cab configuration too... with a t56... we can dream right?

I thought that was the aluminum 6.2 that was supposed to have about 400 hp.

My boss has a Yukon Denali XL on order with that engine. Less HP in the GMC, but still 6.2L VVT, DOD, and it has the 6L80-E like the Escalade.

He is replacing his wife's 3/4 ton 2001 Yukon XL with a 6.0. I got grilled pretty hard for information on the new Denali, so he owes me a ride in it.

I will report.

I read somewhere the Escalade ESVs are supposed have around 20 more hp and more torque than the regular Escalade and truck. Has anybody else heard this. I think I still have the magazine it was a Hot Rod or something. I think it was the one with the new red camaro on the cover, or it might have been the magazine with the silver camaro and orange challenger.
