Default New air intake modification!!! FREE

Before I sound like a rice burner let me start out by saying I like to fiddle with stuff. Last nite I ground the ridge lines off the top of the intake box (stock) put it back together and noticed slightly louder intake. Today in my spare time, realizing the lower silencer could be removed I toyed with a blockage. After looking around my shop I saw a paint top laying around. Spray paint can tops are the exact diameter of the hole. I put it inside their and clamped it down. Tomorrow I plan to cut the lip off the lower silencer and re-insert it on the inside of the paint top. I will replace the old rivets with bolts and use that to insure the paint top does not slip. Its a little louder best I can tell.

Laymans terms... 1.take off the intake tube 2. grind rivets off lower silencer
3. remove lower silencer 4. Insert paint top 5. Tighten clamp 6. Duct tape or remove lower lip of silencer, and bolt back up (elimates risk of paint cap falling out.

Pictures will come later.

I may cut/fiberglass the other silencer. Do yall think that would work?

And I know what the OP is talking about, but the amount of effort he is talking about putting into it is retarded when you can just buy a new tube that wont look like ****.
