I just bought a new '08 chevy and wanted some info. I was thinking about installing a cool air intake, and instead of a muffler system, putting an electric cut out before the muffler so i won't have to hear that horrible 4 cyl. sound coming out of my exhaust at crusing speed. I also am looking for a good, and i do mean good, program/tuning like ls1 edit. not sure if it came out for the new years yet. oh, i have the 5.3 in it as well. i am not looking out ragious speed all the time, just want that extra power to pull and wax a few when i have to..... thanks for the help....

 

How do you intend to use the cutout?
HPTuners already has 2008 truck capability. LS1Edit probably does also.

 

just sticking it in before the muffler just to have for WOT applications.....

such as when i go to the track or just playing around preatty much. i am sure my 2 year old daughter wants to hear something loud and aggrivating while she is sleeping in the back....

 

OK, that makes sense to me now. I wasn't sure how to interpret that sentence when I first read it.
Like I said HPTuners has 08 tuning capability.
