There are plenty of guys running those springs with cams that have .580 or less. Hell there are even quite a few who are running cams with .600 lift and still running those springs.

To be safe I would say .570 or less.

Working out a deal right now to pick up a Vinci Trucker cam 216 224 .551 .551 to run with my D1SC and TT3000 Yank.I see I should be fine with the LS6 springs.

The yellow LS6 springs are rated for a higher lift than the blue ones. IIRC, the blue LS6 springs are good to .550 and the yellows are to .580 per Lingenfelter Performance.

Also keep in mind that the yellow springs aren't as resistant to "lofting" as the 918's or stiffer. Meaning when you're running a camshaft with more aggressive to really aggressive ramps the yellow LS6 springs may be more prone to lofting or allowing the roller tipped lifter to leave the camshaft for a moment and come back down (like a dirtbike going off a jump). I have not studied the yellow springs enough to see what they're capable of but will hope to report back sometime this spring. Perhaps with a short enough installed height you could get enough pressure out of the spring to make it act "bigger" or stiffer.

A 216 224 shouldn't cause lofting?
