Talking Nelson Tune Installed

I just got my new pcm from Allen today and am satisfied so far. The only problem I have is that I still can't roast my tires from a dead stop (35x12.50's are big though), but it does hook up hard and pull well instead. I was expecting the tranny to shift harder but it actually seems very smooth. Downshifts are a lot quicker and throttle response is better too. While cruising at 55 and mashing the gas, 100 mph came really quick with the truck not shifting until 96 mph. Allen has also been extremely nice and good to do business with and answered all of my questions. Overall, I think it was definately worth the money and would suggest it to anyone who asks.

I can't roast my 33" ATs (yet...Flyer where are you?! lol) but my Z runs WAY better after being tuned.

Oh and if you have 3" true duals, you're losing a lot of low-end power w/o a stall converter to make that difference up...

i dont think you are going to roast 33's. and if you do not have a shift kit and servos then the tranny still has some tqm settings. it would be smart to leave some in there any way since you are lifted and they are such big tires. keep driving it. put about 500 miles on her and keep us updated. it will get better.

I just put my retuned PCM to compliment the Transgo+servo and had all the TM removed and I only have 30 miles on it and it and it feels a whole lot better than
my first tune with ont 60% TM removed. I cant wait untill it peaks because Im already roasting my stock and even barking second easily. Give it some time because my first tune I swear I thought it sucked untill one morning after about 250 miles it was a beast! Good luck man!

The true duals probably do hurt the low end a little but 35's are probably my biggest problem. Hopefully in a few months I can get a good cam put in and need the airflow of true duals. Allen said I shoud be fine with no tqm since I have the 4l80 so I don't think I have too much in there now. If I can get my tranny to last to just another 30K then I will be happy. Hopefully after some miles it will keep getting better, but even if it doesn't my truck still hauls ***.

I installed my tune monday and tried it out on the track last night and I run the same times with a slower 60ft? I launched the same, no spinning etc but I have had tstat problems and had to reinstall stock one until today so the truck was at about 210 degrees this week and about 175 last week.

I'm hoping that since my tune only has about 200 miles on it and the truck was pretty warm and tuned for a 160 so maybe that was it but I emailed allen to see what he thought. Plus my truck only has about 40hours and 1100 miles on it so it's not broken in yet. Hopefully all these things together is a good explanation (or excuse) for my my truck not getting faster lol

I didn't read your sig closely...you have an HD truck with the factory duals and the 6.0 It's not costing as much power as it would on a 4.8 or 5.3

My truck isn't super fast by any means but since I had it tuned it's far, far more driveable.
