Default Nelson tune and a dry 50 shot of spray...

Hey guys..... sooner or later when I get my Nelson tune ordered, I was thinking of getting an Incognito Nitrous express kit for the truck.

How much different should the truck be tuned for this kit, I know it's only a 50hp dry shot, But should I have the fuel management system changed at all for the spray?... the jet will obviously be before the MAF sensor at the tip of the FIPK filter.

I plan on going with an STS turbo kit of similar turbo setup after that, so I will most likely go with 42lb or similar lb injectors for that.
So should I upgrade the injectors or anything when I put the nitrous in my truck, or will the Nelson tune take care of what my truck needs for now fuel-wise, and I'll upgrade the injectors and what not when I turbocharge it???

for only a 50 shot I wouldn't worry, talk to nelson he might have a updated tune or some changes to take full affect of the nitrous.

Chingon just did a wet kit on his truck....

We started with it jetted for a 50 shot, and we had to question ourselves if it was on. There was a SLIGHT increase, but it was barley noticeable.

We then tried a 75 shot. Now it was getting more noticeable.
And finally 100 shot really got things going

If your gonna do it I would say plan on doing more than a 50 shot because you are going to want it, trust me.

That Incognito kit is a dry kit? I didn't know that. As far as I knew, all NX kits were wet kits
Anyway, as far as what size shot, like Mac said, I did a 50, 75 and finally 100 shot is where I'm at currently. However, I jetted it rich. For example, I took a nitrous jet for a 100 shot, and a fuel jet for a 125 shot. I logged it with EFI Live and the A/F ratio stayed at 12.5. I will keep going bigger once I get all the little things squared away.

As for a dry shot, you will have to retard timing if you're doing a dry shot because it may run lean and start pinging. Either have Allen drop it a couple degrees in timing (the general consensus is 2* of timing per 50 shot). There is a cool tool made by Ramchargers that you connect with any nitrous kit which, when the nitrous is armed, pulls however many degrees of timing you want(up to 15* if I remember correctly).

Each set up has it's pros and cons, check out the nitrous section, that's where I lurked for awhile before I finally decided what to get. Either way you won't be disappointed. Nitrous kicks ***!

*EDIT* You will barely feel a 50 shot. As Mac said, when we took my truck for a spin we were like, "Is it even spraying?" that's how little of a difference we felt. Do at least 100 shot and if you can get traction, do it from a dig. It is an awesome feeling

Yes.. the Incognito kit is a Dry kit. What are the pro's for a wet kit versus the smaller dry kit other than the obvious more HP and bigger shots???

I am not really for the Idea of anything more than A 75 shot. I's just like to cool down intake temperatures for the turbo as well as getting a little bit more grunt at the same time... I am not trying to really cheat my way up to get higher HP.... that's what my turbo setup is for. I am hoping to pull anything over 300 rwhp after this and the tune since I'm not trying to run 13's on just spray, intake, exhaust and nelson tune... do you think this realistic with my mods and a 50 shot?

another concern is the fact that I want a small bottle to fit under the cupholders in the center console and be hidden... I dont have all that much room in the Regular cab since the stereo takes up all the rest of the space. ...... But honestly, if you guys REALLY think that I won't feel a 50 HP shot of juice, then let me know now so I can look elsewhere..

On a dry kit you rely on the injectors to add the necessary fuel, on a wet kit you spray fuel into the TB along with the nitrous. Having a wet kit doesn't necessarily mean you can go bigger, there's a guy on here who is spraying a 225 dry shot.

What do you mean you're not trying to cheat? So using nitrous means your cheating? A turbo or supercharger is "cheating" to me too because you're forcing air into the engine, it's not natural.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Do you have a turbo already, or is it coming soon? I think you're saying you want 300RWHP before the turbo, correct me if I'm wrong though, but with a 100 shot you'll get there. Don't even bother with the 50 shot because I know I didn't really feel it. Also, the bottle that comes with that incognito kit is small, depending on how much you use it, you will have to make frequent trips to get it refilled.

I know what you mean about not having space. I'm saving the space under the center console for a modded X-box
