i dont have one nor do i know anybody that has one but again from everything that i read i know that everybody that has one has never had anything bad to say and if they had allen has fixed it so two thumbs up to allen although i am getting mine through mti i think it would always be better for the person doing the tune to be able to have the truck available to do a tune but again go allen

Default It's The Way To Go............

I ran a Diablo Predator hand held first. It was a noticable improvment but nothing like the 93 octane tune of the Nelson.
Even better, I used my hand held's live diagnostics to record my trims, o2 sensors, spark timing, knock and so on. I then submitted them to Nelson, and from his dyno studies on trucks like mine he further tweaked and sent me another PCM to where he thinks the optimum readings should be.
I guess this is about as good as you can do without sitting on the dyno.

I just installed my 93 Nelson tune over the 89 Nelson and all I can say is WOW! If you are debating between the 89 and the 93 I would say DEFINATELY go with the 93, it makes a very noticable difference.

He said it's ok to run 91, I asked him the same thing when I got my 93 tune. All we have here is 92 and under. He said he gives a little cushion for bad fuel and a little lower octane so 91 is fine to use on his 93 tunes!

I would have to agree with everyone else also. I had a neslon tune on my 03 sierra, now i have one on my 04 Sierra Denali. I have the 93 tune as I also had on my 03. Allen does a great job, he is also extrememly helpfull about anything. On my 03 i had to do the idle relearn and that is it. On my Denali i didnt have to do anything at all. Nelson all the way.. Ill say this much my Denali with a intake, exhaust, headers, and nelson tune goes damn good considering the mods. I picked up 7 tenths of a sec with allens tune. I think alot of it was because of raising the shift points and the torque managment.
