How high are you wanting to turn the motor, or better yet, how high are you willing to let it spin?

Texas Speed and Performance ( on the right ) has some good prices on theirs. They even have different lengths if you have shaved heads.

I like the higher l/s in the trucks, more like 114 or 115, but that is because I don't want any idle issues. Read the cam install instructions at www.ls1howto.com and check out the part about picking out a cam. With the added weight of the trucks and the fact that they are all automatic's I think the 114 l/s will work better in our trucks. I just ordered the 212/218 558/563 Comp for my new 6.0L, as that seemed to be the most popular and most recommended around here by the people in the know. You can also use this calculator to figure out what your lift will be with those 1.85 rocker arms you have. Here is the link: http://www.thedirtforum.com/rockercalc.htm

Why not be the first truck to run a T-Rex? That would get you mid 13s easy, and sound like top fuel doing it. Not to mention the awsome 9mpg improvement.

The 113 LSA would be great for a daily driver. 112 would lope more, and MAY give you a little trouble in cold weather and around town. With a good tune though even a 112 could be an easy daily driver.

You have a 3000'ish stall converter right .. ?

If so, I would go with a 216/220 or 218/224 on a 112 or so. Prolly the smaller one since it's on a 4.8. If you can stand to do away with your rockers maybe get it ground with XEr lobes.

I'd install the cam and stock pushrods. Then tighten everything up and check your preload. Then decide what pushrods to get

Talking

216-220-525-532-114 might be better. you might want to get a bigger one.
