I just bought a 07 sierra ext cab shortbed 4x4 (new style) with a blown ly6 and a 6l90






I am going to build the motor and fab a turbo kit.

This is my first LS based engine i'm building and was wondering what is really needed to build up a stout engine? I got a twin turbo viper and a supercharged injected first gen camaro, so i'm not new to performance builds.

I was planning on
forged pistons
plasma moly rings
forged h beam rods
stock crank turned
upgraded camshaft & gear (getting rid of vvt)
arp head studs and main studs
mls head gaskets
ls3 intake and tb(still not sure on this one)
not sure on injector size yet
pump gas
custom matched torque converter

on the turbo system

t6 borg warner s475 (75mm 1.32 ar)
50mm BOV
50mm tial q blow off valve
stock manifolds with vbands welded on
not sure on intercooler size yet

anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on the build?

What are the best options for upgrading the fuel system? I have a magnafuel 4303 sitting in the garage, but I wanted to get away from running braided lines

any other weak links in the truck? How is the trans?

Goal for the truck is to make a DD that i can beat on and use as a work truck, but be fast!

now out of curiosity how much power these things gotta make to run some good 1/4 mile times. I know its a heavy pig, never built anything like this before.

this is gonna be fun , on the fabing thing, you might want to chick the KBRacing kit or TRICK turbo kit.
