Default Need some help w/ H&C + procharger plans

Alright, I already have a cam & headers. In a few months I will be getting some headwork done soon after I get some heads. I will also be getting some 4.10 gears w/ Eaton, ASP pulley, & electric fans.

Will the cam I have work o.k. w/ a procharger? If so, what kind of Headwork do I need done? Will headwork drop the boost a littlebit? If the cam won't work good w/ the procharger, then I'll just stay N/A.

What will I need done to the heads if I stay N/A? How much can the heads be milled safely?

In the end I will have further dyno-tuning.

I just want to be able to run between 13.5-14.5 in the quarter.

Sorry for all the questions!

If you go ported heads, it will eat up larger cams. I'd go larger like a 214/220 would yield good all over power...maybe even larger split like a 216/222 as FI likes exhaust overlap. But the one you have will work fine as is. You could toss on one 1.8:1 rockers for a bit more lift too.

I'd get stuff matched to the port sizes of the intake and really open up the exhuast ports. You don't want the head ports too large as they may not line up properly. Clean up the valve throats, polish the combustion chamber, polish the runners, you could even go to a 2" intake valve. You will lose some boost, probably 1-2psi tops, with ported heads as they will flow more. Flem lost a few psi on his Radix by runnning LS6 heads.

You will need a nice tune for this to run correctly. Also I'd ditch the FMU and pickup some 42lbs/hr injectors. A good stall converter like a 2800-3000 will work wonders with the ATI also.

Should I get the heads milled? Will the heads/cam work with all the other superchargers as well?

I wouldn't bother with the ASP pulley. It will make your blower spin slower also.

True it will make it 25% slower...but I would think a 25% smaller blower pulley would take care of that. If you mill your heads you will raise your compression...bad idea.
