My buddy has a 2000 rcsb 4.8L with the 4L60E. He is on his 10 tranny. No serious mods done. Just HPPIII, K&N cold air, Gibson shortys, 1 chamber race Flowmaster. The tranny was fully built. Converter and internals ect. ect. The guy at the tranny shop is a great guy and can not figure out why the tranny keeps blowing up. The only thing he can think of would be a bad ECU. Could that be possible?? And how would you test it to see if the ECU is causing it to blow up??? Any help would be great guys. The truck is ****** sick. Straight show truck. He wants to sell it now cause he is sick of this tranny problem. He has won 7 truck shows with his truck. Please, any help would be great. Thanks in advance guys!!!

Get the PCM reflashed by the dealer with the latest codes. If that doesn't work, contact Speartech and ask them o reflash it from a fresh start.
That's what happened to mine in the past.

This guy is very repitable here in Sacramento. All they do is build race trannys. And its not the stock tranny anymore. It has been changed 3 times. Thats why were are leaning towards the ECU problem. My buddy remembers reading something about faulty ECU's from his year truck. Thats why im asking for some help. We are thinkin it has something to do with the way the ECU is contoling the line pressure. But how do we go about testing it???
