I am new at tuning, but i have people that have been helping me out, and i am doing really well, and i do understand what they are, just wanted MORE info on them, if that's alright to ask on here, i mean, that's what this site if for DICK.
When you say, and I quote, "If someone could explain what these do and if i do need them and how much the cost where i can get them, and all that stuff, it would help out a lot. And also, do i need the wideband module and since i will still have 4 O2's do i need 4 widebands?", its pretty obvious that you DON'T know what they are. From that battery of questions, it sure looked like you were expecting these little gizmos to screw onto your vehicle and bam! your truck would be tuned just-like-that. It is far, far, from that. And from those questions, its also apparent that you are not ready to make the jump to self-tuning...for there is immense risk of inflicting damage to your vehicle without having a strong foundation of PCM & engine controls. My response was simply to prevent you from causing more problems to your own vehicle than what you think you can do. But hey, its your truck, and you can obviously do what you want.
But I must say, its also obvious that you chose to do no SEARCHING on your own, instead expecting people to do the work for you. Is it that hard to click on the search buttons to get some of your questions answered? So before you start acting incredibly immature (and thus becoming highly NOT respected on these forums with your whopping 18 posts), try using Google, the 'Search' functions on this site and many others, articulate your questions a bit better instead of just asking for the world, and then perhaps you can find better & more suitable answers to your specific problems.
Good luck with your tuning. Hope you do it carefully.
Edit: I do have to agree with you on one point - indeed, LS1tech and its sister sites are here for all of us to learn. Realize that none of us on here are out to "get" you....but instead to provide honest and truthful feedback in areas where each of us are experienced in. As part of that feedback you must also understand and accept the fact that not all responses will be to your liking....many of us tell it like it is, not necessarily what the poster just wants to hear. There's reasons why we post as such, and its not because we had a bad day at the office & decided to be a 'net thug for a moment.
