Default need help wit shift kit n stall decision

hey guys got a question for yall who have or know bout shift kits n high stalls for 4L60-E's i got a ecsb Z, a 5.3 is the power plant bolt ons include shorties, true duels intake n superchips programmer, my best times are 16.4's n most are tellin me the best way to lower them E.T's are a shift kit n high stall, i was wondering which make offers the best n most reliable shift kit for a daily driver, so i am not going to distroy my freshly rebuilt tranny w/ 8k on it, n which company offers a high stall, if any which do u believe is a good stall for a truck like mine? only other questions i have is if yall know exactly where i could find this info out?, how much quicker can expect my truck?, will a shift kit work with my programmer n the changed shift points? n roughly a price for these items?, sorry for so many Q's i just wanna make sure before i go orderin sometin or wastin my money,
thanks for the help

Lose the shorties - get longtubes or midlength headers.
Do a search on that stuff, there's a ridiculous amount of information on here about it.

Lose the handheld programmer and get a tune from Nelson Performance (or similar).

There are lots of converter companies. A 2,600 converter would be about right.

A shift kit isn't going to "distroy" your tranny and there are only a couple of major brands.

Oh, and do a search for every keyword you have a question about it. If you can't find an answer on this site it either doesn't exist or you didn't look hard enough.

In closing, the "search" feature is your friend. Use it. Embrace it. Love it. We do.

Most people on here have Transgo's Hd-2 shift kit, but i have the SK 4L60 E kit, which is the step down from the HD-2.

I really like mine, it shifts nice and easy normally, but at WOT it chirps the tires and slams some gears

What year is your 5.3?
The Transgo HD-2 shift kit and Corvette servo mod will 'reprogram' your transmission to shift fast and cleanly. You will have no issue with your superchips as long as you have line pressure set to stock.
As far as torque converters go there are two favorites on this forum. Yank and PI. Both Yank and PI offer well built converters.
What else do you plan on doing to your truck? You want a stall rpm set to match your rig so if yoou might do a cam later you'll need to consider that in your purchase.
There is a lot of great info here on this site, if you want to save some big $$ i advise you take the advice above and read as much as you can, and ask a lot of questions.
