i'm trying to remember exactly what i did.. its been a while, i think i did take the water pump off and that might have been it. Whats the status steven? You got the cam in yet? I saw in another thread that you were having a problem with the lifters staying up and out of the way.

Yeah you don't have to take that stuff off....good experience though haha. Heres a tip, when its comes time to reinstall the crank pulley heat it up in the oven, it will slide right on.

i got pissed and left. the old cam is still in the truck i cant get the lifters to go up to put the dowels in. i left that bracket on and ive got it all tore apart andnow im stuck with this pos. i swear it wouldnt hurt my feelings if it caught on fire tonight. i tried 3 different magnets and 2 different size rods. sslow4.8 you wanna ride down tomorrow haha. i can send you some money for the trouble. this is pissing me off big time
