Default Need help 2006 6.0 random missfire on cylinders 1 and 8 possible cam and lifter swap

Hello, I have been battling a random missfire problem on cylinders 1 and 8 for awhile.I think I lost a lifter or two. There is no power in the lower rpm band but seems to smooth out in the upper band. I have read where guys are changing out the lifters for new ones and depending on how bad they are they are replacing the came to. My truck is a 2006 hd with a 6.0 and 4l80. I plow with it in the winter and pull a car trailer once and a while with it in the spring and summer. What would be a good cam and lifter setup to replace those bad lifters with? Truck only had 67,xxx on it when it started acting stupid. I only want to change this stuff one time if possible, So any suggestions on what I should use(brand and part#s) would be appreciated.. Also where is a good place to get a spare 6.0 incase.. Im in Cleve, Oh

Thanks
Pernell

Set of ls7 lifters and a low lift cam would help with towing since your gonna have to pull the heads to put lifters in port the heads some I'm puting a 215 218 .545 lift 555 lift I do some towing with my halfton from time to time but it should be a good daily driver cam there's plenty of people who have done this maybe can be more help then myself

have you checked your plugs and wires? swapped coil packs around to see if the missfires change cylinders?? id suspect something like that before bad lifters. by no means is small cam swap a bad idea in a tow rig but it sure would be a lot of unnecessary work if your problem is just a plug/wire/or coil issue.

I did plugs and wires. I also swapped coilpacks around to, almost forgot I switched the injectors around to,to see if it would move the miss stayed in the same cylinders 1 and 8.. I don't know what else to check..,.
